Homemade Electrolyte Ice blocks

Homemade Electrolyte Ice blocks

This homemade iceblock is perfect for the warmer weather and if you’re working up a sweat, as it’s great for rehydrating and replenishing electrolytes. Plus, it tastes so good!

Ingredients

Cococoast Natural Coconut Water

Coconut water is so good for you, there are many benefits to drinking coconut water from young green coconuts. It’s perfect for rehydration and replenishing electrolytes. Electrolytes are a combination of minerals which include potassium, magnesium, sodium, and calcium. When they’re provided in the right ratio they play several important roles in the body, including maintaining proper fluid balance. This is why coconut water is the perfect sports drink, unlike those fluorescent chemical-laden commercial sports drinks that claim to be.

Smart & Sassy dōttera Essential Oil

This essential oil contains Grapefruit Peel, Lemon Peel, Peppermint Plant, Ginger Root, and Cinnamon Bark. This is dōterra’s proprietary metabolic blend. This combination is known to promote a healthy metabolism, helps to manage hunger throughout the day and is supportive of a weight management plan when combined with exercise and a healthy diet.

Organic Raspberries

I get the frozen organic raspberries by Oob Organic, you can find them in the freezer section at Woolies. Raspberries contain potent antioxidants such as vitamin C and quercitin which help to fight cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and age-related conditions and ailments.

Method

  • First I added about 1 Tablespoon of the organic frozen raspberries to each of the ice block moulds.
  • I added 1 drop of Smart & Sassy Essential Oil into 1litre of the natural cococoast coconut water and stirred.
  • Pour the essential oil infused coconut water into the moulds and pop them in the freezer.

That’s it!

Email me if you’d like to sample the Smart & Sassy Essential oil or if you’re interested in getting your hands on the full-size essential oils.
